Hi, I’m Sarah L Fox, a contemporary artist specialising in impressionist and abstract expressionist art currently based in the beautiful Scottish Borders.
Creating art is a deeply healing process for me. I like to paint intuitively, drawing on my life experience and inspired by spending many years living amidst nature in Britain, France and Portugal.
Each ​artwork reflects a deep exploration of emotion, light and colo​ur.

There is so much beauty around us in the natural world and I am endlessly inspired by expressive sunsets and the play of light, whether the strong bright sunlight of Portugal or the more muted tones of Scotland.

Having worked with many different mediums from graphite, to pastels and oils I now find I prefer the flexibility that acrylics give and so this is my main medium today.
I use a wide range of techniques in my work including textures and fluid paints to achieve a finished piece that resonates with the viewer in a meaningful way.
